Some organized tours to Playa Pilar are also offered, see the Excursions section.
This restaurant is managed by the Cuban group Palmares, they offer other services on the beach, such as a beach bar called Coco Loco, and sunbeds and lounge chairs rentals. You’ll find also on-site an observation tower for stunning views of the surroundings. In front of Playa Pilar, about 2 km off shore, there’s a small key called Melia Luna (Half Moon) on which there’s another ranchon type restaurant (Ranchon Media Luna), this one is frequented mostly by excursionists on boat and catamaran cruises.
