Local Ranchons (Beach Bar & Grill restaurants)
Click the restaurant name from the blue menu for a detailed description
Even if the cayos of the Jardines del Rey archipelago (King's Gardens) are uninhabited keys, you can find a series of small Ranchons (thatched-roof open-air restaurants) throughout the beaches of Cayo Coco and Cayo Guillermo. These are nice, friendly and safe places where you can enjoy a delicious seafood plate, or just take a break for a refreshing Cuban cocktail or a “cerveza fria” after a walk under the sun. The food is cooked on a charcoal grill, the views are gorgeous, the ambience is relaxed and casual, and often musicians are present to give the place a good vibe and an even more typical Cuban experience!
These Bar & Grill type restaurants are independent, not part of the all-inclusive resorts, but their prices are very affordable, and it’s a good and enjoyable way to encourage the local businesses.
